This luxury hand made bed unites a De Luxe Divan base with a Baronet Superb pocket sprung mattress. The divan base is upholstered in fabric TK747, Fine Stripe Fawn. The mattress is in TK552 Plain Satin Ivory. A wider choice of covers is available on request, or may be viewed in store. De Luxe Divan base construction and upholstery Pocket springs (600 in king size) are mounted on a screwed and glued solid timber frame. The divan frame is covered with insulated wadding, and the ticking case is calico lined for added protection. This unit is upholstered with a 1200gsm natural coir pad overlaid with 1200gsm blended British fleece wool and cotton and covered with the finest quality ticking or upholstery fabric from the Vi-Spring collection. Mattress construction, fillings and upholstery The single Baronet Superb mattress has 720 pocket springs made from 1.52mm vanadium steel wire. Each spring, which measures 54mm diameter, is individually sewn into cotton calico pockets, and hand formed into a honeycomb nested unit. The Baronet Superb mattress is 21cm deep with two rows of genuine hand side-stitching and horizontal handles. With air vents on all sides, the borders are upholstered in protective wool, and finished with piped ticking. Inside you will also find horsehair needle-teased onto hessian and enclosed in a hair-proof cambric cover. This is overlaid with 1000gsm bonded British fleece wool and cotton, then another layer of 1200gsm blended British fleece wool and cotton. The mattress is finished with Belgian ticking and hand tufted with felt washers. (Gsm = grammes per square metre.) Under bed storage This can be a great hidden asset! Divan drawers provide great space for your spare linen and other lightweight items. (We do not recommend you use them for heavy items such as books etc.).
