The toolpost for the upper blade guides is made from steel and movement is also adjusted on a rack and pinion. the blade guides are large and easy to adjust and the whole machine has a solid, robust feel to it. The bandwheels are cast iron to provide a flywheel effect that aids cutting performance. the wheels are dynamically balanced and fitted with thick rubber tyres that are precision gorund with a camber to aid tracking. the tensioning system has been designed to apply upover 20,000 psi and can adequately tension evena 1" blade for serious ripping.
