The seasoned timber is then machined, planed smooth with rounded edges and finished to within 1mm tolerances. All fixing holes and nut recesses are drilled, then the timber is pressure-treated using a non-toxic chrominm / cadmium / arsenic - free solution approved for children's playground equipment. The Monmouth was designed with all the family members in mind. The wooden stairs with closely-spaced steps makes it easy for even toddlers to climb up to the slide. The Playcentre provides all the features needed for a wide range of play activities. Attached to the strong wooden tower is a tall swing-arm complete with two wooden swings & knotted climbing rope, heavy-duty 3m slide and full-sized commando net. Built into the base of the tower is a sandpit with two wooden seats. It uses pressure-treated planed rectangular timber to minimise splits and cracks. All bolts are galvanised and recessed for safety and appearance. Detailed assembly instructions and all necessary fittings are provided to make construction a straightforward DIY job. The Gate Lodge was designed to be a combined activity centre for younger children as well as a Wendy House + Fort + Sleeping den when they are older. The upper cabin is large enough for three teenagers to sleep in comfort (although wood fires are not recommended!). Beneath the cabin is a play area 1.8m x 1.8m fitted with a table and two bench seats. There is enough room around the table to create a play area, even spread out some sand for small kids. The upper cabin can be accessed by a ladder with 5 x 40mm hardwood rungs, or the climbing wall fitted with professional grips. And not to forget the 3m green wavy slide & swing arm complete with 2 swings!. To complement the Gate Lodge is a range of accessories including a full-sized Assault Course, Commando Net and Clatterbridge. The walls of the cabin follow a unique design which allows natural movement of the timber without having to use nails or screw, resulting in no splitting of the wood. The interlocking boards feature a tiny groove which helps drain away water from this shed quickly therefore minmising rot or damages caused by water. The pent roof on this shed is also sloped to prevent any water gathering.This pent shed has a wide, braced door which makes storing and retriving items easy. The door also comes with a pre-fitted pad bolt so you can keep your belongings safe when your not home. The floor and roof of this shed are constructed from high quality, solid sheet board; this gives this shed a very sturdy feel.
