Wiggle Super Series Bournemouth Sportive (Road) - Epic Route: Sun, sea, southern England's beautiful countryside and cycling - the Wiggle Bournemouth Sportive takes you from close to the bustling sandy beaches of Poole and Bournemouth to ride and enjoy the 3 counties of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire. The route balances quiet roads, sublime scenery, and the challenge of the 3 quality climbs of Win Green, Bulbarrow and Milton Abbas. Starting from the convenient neighbouring town of Poole, the sportive route goes north towards Salisbury, over to Shaftsbury, before heading to the stunning villages, quite lanes and hills of the north Dorset Downs. The route takes in villages such as Rockbourne, Ebbesborne Wake, Fontwell Magna, Fiddleford, Hilton, Winterbourne Stickland and Tarrant Rushton. You will enjoy the panoramic views of distant Somerset from Dorset's highest point, Bulbarrow Hill - catch a glimpse of the picture postcard view of Milton Abbey School Playing Fields and the model village of Milton Abbas as you descend the hill. All the routes will take you on peaceful roads and through secluded villages around beautiful Cranborne Chase, tried and tested by the local Bournemouth Arrow Cycle Club. Bournemouth lies in the heart of Dorset on the South Coast with an expanse of heritage and countryside to explore, the town and nearby Poole also boasts some great attractions in addition to the fantastic cycling roads.
