Red Letter Day Can you handle this beast? Take the wheel of this fantastic vehicle on a specially designed off-road track. This is your chance to drive a magnificent Hummer off road - where it belongs! You will drive either a 6.2 litre V8 military Humvee or a civilian H1 Hummer, fitted with a fearsome 6.5 litre turbo charged engine. These monsters combine power, width and a low centre of gravity to give them astounding off-road capability. After a safety briefing and a demonstration from an instructor, you will take the wheel of this fantastic vehicle on a specially designed off-road track. Enjoy driving over all sorts of varied terrain, through water and even negotiating certain obstacles that standard production 4x4s would struggle with! With an automatic gearbox and power steering, the Hummer will make it all seem effortless. See if this is one beast you can tame. Locations: Kent Participant Guidelines: Min age 17 and max weight 18 stone. Max height 6`5``. All participants must hold a valid driving licence and produce the original on the day. Must inform us of any medical conditions beforehand please, to ensure your suitability to participate. Session Length: Your experience will last for two hours including a safety briefing, instructor demonstration and one hours driving time. Dress Code: We recommend sensible, outdoor clothing suitable for driving. Ground conditions are rough and a strong shoe with ankle protection is therefore advisable. No high heels please! Availability: Mondays to Thursdays throughout the year. Other info: These two particular Humvee`s were used by the US Army in the first Gulf War. They were then purchased by a film company and have had many famous bums on the seats!
