The ts300 follows a long tradition of high quality cast iron machines from record power, and is suitable for the small professional workshop. It should not be confused with the lightweight aluminium machines that are so often sold in this price range though, they have neither the robustness nor the longevity to cope with accurate performance on a daily basis in an industrial environment. Weighing in at 180kg, the ts300 offers the very best in table saws and will cope with the rigours of heavy use, from its cast iron table to its solid bar rip fence rail and micro-adjustment - everything is built to last. An 80mm scoring blade and high quality fine main blade are supplied as standard. The pre-score blade enables faced boards to be cut cleanly. In this operation it uses a 10” blade. With the pre-scoring blade removed a 12” blade can be fitted for really deep cutting. A right hand table extension is also fitted as standard enabling larger boards to be cut with ease. Two mitre slots run down either side of the blade. An optional cast iron sliding table is available in a choice of two stroke lengths (690mm stroke or 1530mm stroke) and a rear take off table is another optional extra. With its heavy construction and superb build quality it is a truly professional machine at a price the discerning home user could justify. Please note for illustration purposes the ts300 is shown fitted with the optional ts300-sb sliding carriage, this is not included with the standard product. For accurate joinery a good planer thicknesser is an invaluable tool. it can also be a cost effective one enabling good use of unprepared and salvaged timber. the pt300 has been designed as a heavy, well specified machine able to fit in even a modest workshop but capable of serious work and preformance. The pt300 has heavily ribbed cast iron surfacing tables and a generous cast iron thicknessing table. the machine is housed in a single, heavy steel frame for rigidity and stability and boasts a 3hp induction motor to provide plenty of power for the 12” x 8” capacities and the maximum 5mm cut. The 70mm block has three knives to allow faster feed speeds and provide a good quality finish. anti kickback fingers protect the user as the knurled steel infeed roller drives timber easily into the block. the outfeed roller has a heavy rubber sleeve to protect the newly planed surface. The fence, which is so essential when surface planing, must be one of the most substantial on the market at this price level. the heavy fence extrusion is mounted on a large cast iron mount which tilts to 45º and is quickly and easily resets to 90º with the aid of an adjustable stop. this is then mounted on a thick steel bar which in turn is mounted in another substantial casting fixed to the outfeed table. When changing to thicknessing mode it is only necessary to tilt the outfeed table which simply flips up without encroaching into valuable workshop space and the fence remains mounted on the table with no need to remove it, saving time and avoiding the need to continually reset every time you return to surfacing. This powerful machine can take up to 5mm cuts and these adjustments can be quickly and easily made in either mode. when surfacing there is a simple lever to raise and lower the infeed table and when thicknessing there is a large handwheel to raise and lower the thicknessing table and a large clear scale for guidance.
