A classic understated blend of the traditional Rhone varieties Shiraz, Mourvedre and Viognier results in a lovely voluptuous wine with cool climate characters of white pepper and red berry fruit. Iona's Syrah is produced in very small quantities at this stage (120 cases) and the cool climate results in wines that are Northern Rhone in style showing white pepper, savoury and red fruit notes. Will suit carpaccio and anti-pasti, as well as a tomato-based pasta; or try with barbequed meats. The Vineyard Notes: The Shiraz on Iona started as a nursery error ... When we planted our Cabernet Sauvignon, unknown to us (and hopefully the nursery!), we were supplied with approximately 600 Shiraz vines. This was only discovered when we were ready to harvest our first Cabernet Sauvignon and we found grapes interspersed in the vineyard that were not quite ready. They were identified as Shiraz and left to ripen and were harvested in early May 2004. The quality was outstanding and as a result we planted another 4ha which will come into production for the 2007 vintage. Grape: Shiraz 90%, Viognier 5% & Mourverdre 5%.

Our engineers have been working in conjunction with the manufacturers to bring about several small improvements to the existing Big Air trampolines. This includes extra high quality safety padding material and improved springs for even greater bounce. Big Air Trampolines are perfect garden fun for all the family. Brief Description: The Big Air Extreme 14ft trampoline with Safety Enclosure has been enhanced for this season to give improved performance for a wider range of user weights and improved all round durability. Frame: These Big Air Extreme trampolines are constructed with 2.0mm HOT galvanised steel top frame. The HOT galvanisation process ensures that the trampoline frame sections are galvanised inside and out, the better for garden and outdoor use (unlike most other more cheap galvanised frames that are only galvanised on the exterior of the frame). This will ensure the trampoline remains robust for many years and is suitably strong for even the heaviest of users. The T joints of Big Air Extreme trampolines have been reinforced with an extra welded galvanized steel plate on the T joints. This extra reinforcement provides protection in the weakest part of the trampoline frame and is unique to Big Air Extreme trampolines.” Springs: 96 Galvanised and Zinc plated 200mm Max Bounce springs with increased helical circumference giving increased bounce for the heaviest of users and maintaining performance for lighter users. The safety net is manufactured from 16 gauge HOT galvanised steel (better for garden and outdoor use). We have found that although more expensive to manufacture this design of safety net is far sturdier than other more cheap safety nets which attach to the top of the trampoline legs. This safety net frame is free standing and effectively doubles the number of legs that the trampoline has in contact with the ground, thus significantly increasing the structural integrity of both the trampoline and the safety enclosure. The mesh of the safety net is made from super strong and flexible Terylene thread and the intelligent design uses a free standing net to minimalise the risk of accidents involving the upright posts. Quality Standard: GS/TUV certification comes as standard on all Big Air Trampolines. Warranty: 5 year warranty on all frame parts. All other parts are subject to the standard UK Sport Imports warranty. Dimensions: 14ft Diameter, 38 Inch Height. Our ancestors ate diets that consisted of about equal quantities of omega 6 to omega 3. This is probably why omega 3 has such an important role in human physiology. At that time, the meat that was eaten was free range, eggs came from free-range birds, coastal communities had free access to fish and more outside leaves of plants were eaten, (a rich sources of omega 3), while very few grains were eaten, (rich sources of omega 6). With the advent of agriculture, the feeding of livestock on grains, the reduction in fish eating and, latterly, the wide availability of convenience foods which feature grain and seed oils, the ratio of these two fatty acids in the diet has swung dramatically in favour of omega 6 and reduced the amount of omega 3. The ratio has gone from 1:1 up to 15-20:1 omega 6 to omega 3. Human health is struggling as a result, and clear links have been found to a wide range of mental and physical conditions as a result of this change. Ideally, everyone should have a minimum of 2-3 grams omega 3 per day (2,000-3,000mg/day). It seems that not many people achieve this level, especially if they eat little oily fish. The Beneficial Components of Omega 3 Fatty Acids; When we ingest omega 3, our body breaks the fatty acids down to 2 other fatty acids - Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and these are the components our body uses for essential activity. Flax and other seed oils contain omega 3, whereas fish oil contains the preformed DHA and EPA in a form directly usable by our bodies. Each one of the botanicals is delicious on its own and, in addition, has a purpose as a gin constituent. Juniper, for example is the essential ingredient in all London Dry Gins and should be the predominant flavour. Equally, a Citrus (Orange, Lemon, Pink Grapefruit or Lime) element is common to most, if not all gins, and is strongly recommended, though not essential in the strictest sense. Licorice can be used to introduce sweetness, is a vital component of the 'Old Tom' style of gins, and present in many regular London Dry Gins. Both Angelica and Orris root have an earthy depth to their flavour and are used both in gin making and perfumery as a fixative, to help the flavours stabilise and meld together. When you have familiarised yourself with each botanical, it's time to start mixing them to create your own gin. I recommend that each gin has a minimum of about 5 botanicals, though there is no hard rule. Here are 2 successful methods to try: Method 1: Mix 25 ml Juniper distillate with 10 ml Citrus - mixed OR Pink Grapefruit. Next add a teaspoon (approx 1-2 ml) of one of the other botanicals of your choice. After each addition, stir and taste the result. At some stage you will create something wonderful - make sure you write down the recipe. When you get to this stage it is very common to add something that spoils it, but don't worry. Put it to one side, and start again with larger quantities. Stop when you have recreated your wonderful gin and don't add the spoiler. This is your first unique gin. Method 2: Combine 1 ml Juniper distillate with 10 ml Sacred Gin and taste. Then take 1ml of any of the other botanical distillates of your choice, add and taste again. Then add 1ml of a different one, taste, and so on - there is no limit, and you do not have to add Juniper as Sacred Gin is already very well balanced (though all botanical additions are worth trying.) It is very helpful to do this with friends so you can compare notes. Use as much or as little of the extra botanicals as you like - it does not have to be 1:10 ratio - please experiment according to your instinct. Good luck with your recipes!'
