This Sony SAL-18200 18-200mm, is a high magnification zoom lens that's ideal for general and landscape and wildlife shooting. The compact DT (Digital Technology) design should only be used on APS-C format cameras because their image circle isn't large enough to fully cover a 35mm full frame sensor. If these are used to full 35mm sensors then you will see a darkening of the image towards the edges of the frame, this is also used in some artistic techniques and called vignetting. This is equivalent to 27 - 300mm range in full frame format. This Sony SAL-18200 A-Mounted lens can be mounted onto E-Mount cameras, using an adapter, whereas E-Mount Lenses can not be used with A-Mounted Cameras The Sony SAL-18200 has a 18-55mm focal length. This will give you a 76-8 degree field of view. Meaning you will be able to fit a good amount into the frame, when using for standard or wide shots, good for group photographs You will achieve outstanding quality with this Sony SAL-18200 at all focal lengths with aspheric lens elements and ED glass. The minimum aperture of 22-40 will help keep a wide depth of field, so you can ensure you get more in focus, which is especially useful for landscapes with foreground features. Get close up to your subject with a minimum focus distance of 0.45m The circular aperture will give higher quality results, easily noticed when background lights go out of focus, rather then a Hexagonal shape, caused by conventional apertures the Sony SAL-18200 has an almost circular aperture give a much cleaner result, improving your image. Combined with the Aspherical lens elements will minimise distortion and flatness of the image plane.An additional Petal Lens hood (ALC-SH0008) is supplied with this Sony SAL-18200 Lens, designed to block out light that comes from outside the framed area. Canon's HS System, 720p HD movie recording and Hybrid IS are additions, delivering premium image quality in stills and movies, and a Front Dial provides improved handling and swift manual control. The Power Shot G12 is also compatible with a optional Lens Filter Adaptor, which extends with the lens when using the zoom to offer full coverage throughout the zoom range. The Power Shot G12 is the first G-series model to feature Canon's HS System - a powerful combination of a high-sensitivity 10.0 Megapixel CCD sensor and high-performance DIGIC 4 processor designed to provide outstanding image quality in all lighting conditions, including low light. The inclusion of the HS System allows shooting at higher ISOs with excellent image quality - enabling users to capture exceptional images in all conditions. This extended ISO range allows users to shoot darker scenes without engaging the flash or using a tripod - capturing correctly-exposed images using only the available light. In situations when use of the flash is necessary, a higher ISO will enable users to extend its effective range and illuminate the subject more effectively. Higher ISOs also enable users to utilise faster shutter speeds - freezing motion to capture moving subjects with a reduced risk of blur. Allowing users precise control over the ISO level, the dedicated ISO dial now allows adjustments in 1/3 stop increments. In addition to this, a Auto ISO level adjustment feature allows users to pre-configure the maximum ISO setting they wish to use during shooting and specify how the camera selects the ISO to obtain the best balance between image quality and shutter speed. In very dark situations, Low Light mode can be used to extend the ISO range up to ISO 12800, with the ability for users to control ISO and white balance to accurately capture the ambience of a dimly-lit environment. Users can also capture fast-moving action with the ability to shoot at up to 4.2 shots per second. The Power Shot G12 features a premium 28mm wide-angle 5x optical zoom lens, allowing users to capture sweeping landscapes and get closer to distant subjects during shooting. Benefiting from Canon's extensive heritage in lens design, the lens has been developed using the same processes and quality standards employed to manufacture Canon's range of EF lenses, ensuring the capture of sharp, detailed shots while still having a compact size so the lens can retract completely into the camera body when not in use. Counteracting camera shake and enabling photographers to capture shots in darker conditions, the Power Shot G12's optical Image Stabilizer allows shooting at shutter speeds approximately 4-stops slower than would be otherwise necessary to achieve a sharp shot. Also included in the Power Shot G12 is Canon's Hybrid IS technology to increase the effectiveness of the optical Image Stabilizer when shooting macro subjects. With no cropping or magnification effects, enjoy a true wide angle experience through the large, bright viewfinder. Redesigned pixels minimise noise, while a 21.1 Megapixel resolution surpasses the standards demanded by the leading picture agencies. Canon’s Di G!C 4 works with the EOS 5D Mark II’s image sensor to deliver outstanding reproduction of colours and subtle tonal gradations. Di G!C 4 also delivers split-second start-up times, Face Detection AF in Live View mode, and additional HD movie recording. For handheld shooting in low light, the EOS 5D Mark II offers ISO speeds of up to 6400. For dark scenes where using flash is undesirable, this can be expanded to an incredible ISO 25600. The EOS 5D Mark II complements outstanding still imaging capabilities with Full HD 1080 video recording. Users can even shoot video to memory card without losing the ability to capture still images. An HDMI connection allows High Definition playback of footage and images on an HDTV. The 3.0 inch Clear View LCD features 920,000 dot resolution, wide viewing angle and dual anti-reflective coatings – allowing ultra-detailed image review in a variety of conditions. Live View displays real-time images on the LCD, offering three types of auto focus: Quick AF, Live AF, and Face Detection Live AF, which locks onto faces detected in the frame. The EOS 5D Mark II offers continuous shooting at 3.9 frames per second. When shooting JPEGs to a UDMA card, maximum burst is limited only by card capacity. Precision auto focus is assured by Canon’s AF system, which employs 9 selectable points and 6 Assist AF points. Canon’s built-in dust prevention system offers three ways of guarding images against the effects of dust: reduction of internal dust generation; an in-camera sensor cleaning mechanism; and the ability to map stubborn dust spots for removal with Digital Photo Professional software. With a magnesium alloy construction, environmental protection and shutter durability of 150,000 releases, the EOS 5D Mark II is equally suited to location or studio work.
