Weekends are particularly busy, please book several weeks in advance.Weather: Gliding is weather dependent. It is crucial that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If your flights are cancelled because of the weather, they'll be re-booked for an alternative date.Duration: Your experience begins in the morning (normally around 11am), please allow for much of the day at the club. As a guide you'll spend between 40 minutes and an hour gliding. There'll also be on-ground briefing sessions and you have to wait your turn to fly Numbers On Day: Your briefings might be shared, your flights will be held on a one-to-one basis with the pilot.Spectators: Up to six spectators are welcome to accompany you, but must follow safety directions whilst on site. A camera or a pair of binoculars will come in handy. Why not bring a packed lunch, sit and watch for a while?Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Bring a jumper in case it gets cold at higher altitudes, and waterproofs if it has rained recently. Bring gloves in winter and sunblock and a hat in summer. Sunglasses are recommended all year round.Guidelines: The venue is run as a non-profit making club and you may be asked to help others launch and retrieve their gliders while you wait your turn to glide. Hot drinks facilities are available. Your experience includes one month membership of the gliding club.Restrictions: Maximum height is 6'4''. Maximum weight is 16 stone. The glider is then towed into the air by a light aircraft and once you're at a height of around 2,000ft the rope is released, the aircraft peels away and you're free to soar and circle lazily in the thermal currents. You'll have breathtaking views of the countryside below you and the sky around you. And - at the pilot's discretion - you'll take the controls of the glider yourself. Unforgettable.

Next Goodwood's sweeping circuit is open to you as you take the wheel of a Formula Ford 2000 single seater racing car. This is a full 2 litre winged racer, with slick tyres and Hewland gear box. After more than 10 miles impersonating Jenson Button you'll need a breather! A change of pace follows as you are given two of the following cars to master. You could be behind the wheel of a svelte E Type Jaguar, a rumbling replica AC Cobra, a majestic Aston Martin, Chevrolet Corvette, or a scintillating Porsche 911 RS. You will drive three laps in each car. Again an instructor will accompany you to help you savour these wonderful old cars, which all have their own idiosyncrasies, not to mention lots of horse power! All cars are subject to availability.

Feel the adrenalin rush as you take the controls of a light plane and soar across the sky! You get one-to-one training with a Civil Aviation Authority licensed instructor and your flying time counts towards a Private Pilot's licence. What happens on the day?Your flying lesson starts with a briefing from your instructor before the flight. This will cover safety and an introduction to some of the controls. Once in the plane your flight starts from the time the engine turns over. You will be given headphones so that you can hear conversations between your instructor and air traffic control and so that you can talk with your instructor. Once in the air you will be able to take the controls but your pilot will generally land the plane and taxi back. Where does the experience take place?Over 40 locations nationwide. What should I wear? Flat shoes and comfortable casual clothing suitable for the time of the year and weather conditions - remember airfields can be exposed places! How long should I allow for this experience?Introductory Flying Lesson:You should allow an hour for the whole experience. The flight (from taxi to landing) will last approximately 25-30 minutes.Extended Flying Lesson:You should allow 1-2 hours for the whole experience. The flight (from taxi to landing) will last approximately 40-60 minutes. When does the activity take place?Flying lessons take place all year round and are normally available on any day of the week.We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability. Are there any restrictions?Minimum Age: 12 (under 18s need parental/guardian consent)Minimum Height: 4’10’’ (147cms) Maximum Height: 6’4” (193cms) Maximum Weight: 12 stone at County Down 14 to 18 stone at other locations (please check with venue when making your booking). Participants should be in reasonable health and agile enough to climb into the aircraft The experience content equipment used and restrictions may vary according to venue. What about the weather?Flying is weather dependent. The school will usually advise you to call them on the day of your booking to check the weather is suitable for flying. If your flight has to be postponed due to the weather you can then re-book a mutually convenient date direct with the school. Can I bring spectators?Spectators are usually welcome without charge but will not be able to accompany you in the plane. Facilities for spectators vary between centres so you should check with the centre when booking. What about insurance?Personal Accident Insurance to the value of £50 000 together with cancellation indemnity subject to terms is included with every voucher. The centres contracted with us hold public indemnity liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to vehicles or equipment except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence. What else do I need to know?Your expiry date is printed on your voucher please check the date as it is essential that you book and take your experience before this date. How do I make a booking? Read through this booklet for further information and answers to some of the questions you might have about your experience. Contact the centre (see contact details below) and inform them that you hold an experience voucher for the type of experience shown on it. Please quote the product code that appears at the bottom of your voucher. Make a booking at a mutually agreed time before the expiry date on the voucher. (Book well in advance – the centre can get very busy.) Once the centre accepts your booking you are bound by their terms and conditions. Make sure you understand their rules regarding changing or cancelling your booking (particularly at short notice). The centre may require you to send them your voucher to confirm your booking: if so we recommend you keep a record of your voucher number and use Registered Post as your voucher is a valuable document which cannot be replaced if lost.
