The wheel is a stunning blend of function - from the stainless steel bearings and multiple axle options to form - with the clean 4 bolt rotor fixing and straight pull flange design. The 4 fixed arms on the hub help to create a stiff mounting point for the rotor reduce weight and help to dissipate heat effectively. The hubs use stainless steel bearings and the proven ratchet system as used in the Pro2 and other Pro3 ranges. Teaming up with world renowned DT Swiss and using their proven Competition Double Butted spokes and EX500 rims (32h) - Hopes wheels sets are laced and meticulously hand finished in the UK. The EX500 rim offers superb construction low weight and an creates an ideal wheel build for freeride all mountain trail and heavy XC use. Wheels are available individually or as a pair and come complete with custom ‘Hoops’ etching on the hub rim tapes spare spokes and nipples and rim stickers. We suggest a rider weight limit of 85kg. We wanted to create something that offers similar benefits with regards to weight savings as the dedicated 3 bolt design but in a slightly more ‘conventional’ package - hence the 6 bolt disc fixing with this hub. We see this as a more ‘lightweight trail’ wheel as well as a great racing option.For 2009 we are building and hand finishing in our Barnoldswick Factory using Sapim Sprint double butted spokes and brass Polyax nipples.The No Tubes CREST offers the rider the choice of running tubeless as well as a superlight overall weight. These are lightweight XC & race orientated wheels. We suggest a rider weight limit of 85kg. This is only a guideline but common sense should be used with regards to the type of riding they will be used for.The super light straight pull hubs run on the same stainless steel bearings used in the SP-XC3 and have the same axle options (QR & 15mm front and QR rear).
