Here there are spectacular views across the Firth of Clyde to the beautiful island of Arran. Next our journey takes us to Ardrossan with its branch line and three stations before we head to the busy junction at Kilwinning. Then we are on to the towns of Irvine and Troon as the railway follows the river back to the sea past historic bilding and magnificent scenery. The final leg of the journey leads us through Ayr Prestwick and ends at Straneraer where the train runs out along the pier to connect with ferries to Ireland.
