Tufo C-Hi Composite Carbon Tubular Clincher Tyre: Application of composite puncture proof ply and high composite carbon tread compound made possible to use thinner tread and still maintain high mileage. Thinner tread also lowers rolling resistance while the tyre is maintaining ideal shock absorption properties and high puncture resistance. How Does the Tubular Clincher Tyre Work? When inflated, the tubular clincher (see image below), in the same way as a tubular, is pressed towards the rim. Simultaneously, the bead blocks of the profiled rubber band spread out embedding on the rim shoulders and eliminating any rotation of the tubular clincher against the rim as well as the possibility of the tubular clincher unseating. As the tubular clincher is inflated, the band side literally 'bite' into the rim shoulders. Benifits of Tufo's tubular clincher tyres: high inflation pressures - up to 15 bars (220 psi) without any damage to the rim walls, even in a case when the rim manufacturer specifies lower inflation pressures (the pressure is contained inside the tubular clincher and does not affect the rim wall), same riding quality as with tubular tyres, safe handling in case of punctures (the stability of a rider is not affected), the tubular clincher can be ridden when flat, and the fastest and easiest installation and dismantling without any tools. Time Ergo Force Carbon Road Handlebar: The new TIME handlebar Ergo force was developed on the basis of a totally one-piece concept that makes it possible to guarantee perfect homogeneity of the carbon fibre structure and perfect reproducibility of its geometry. The structure consists of unidirectional and bidirectional braids constructed of HM and HR fibers. An aluminum alloy insert is incorporated under the structure during the molding process. Located under the stem, its function is to take up the forces of compression generated by tightening the stem so as to ease the composite that is low-performance for this type of stress. This fine design produces heightened rigidity, guarantee of a perfect transmission of the forces. The bores of the cable housings are incorporated into the form of the handlebar and adhesive covers hold them in place while guaranteeing optimal comfort. A frequently tricky point with carbon handlebars, the hold at the join of the stem and the brake handles was dealt with very specifically. The particularly stressed area of the stem is treated with a ceramic deposit and the area of the brake handles will be covered with a special varnish.
