The Panasonic NR-B53V1 comes with some key features that will be explained further later. The key features are: 'Hygiene Active' technology, 'Vitamin Safe' technology, '5degree Fresh Zone' technology and finally 'Twin-eco Cooling' technology which has allowed the NR-B53V1 to gain an Energy Saving Recommended certification. This has helped this Panasonic Fridge Freezer attain a A++ Energy Rating.The Panasonic NR-B53V1 is a 530 Nett Litre American Style Fridge Freezer. The 530 Litre capacity is split 60 / 40 from Refrigeration and Freezer space with the Nett Litre capacity of the Fridge being 324 with the Freezer containing a Nett Litre capacity of 206. The unit is also coupled with Frost Free Technology that Panasonic has been able to pioneer over the years.Panasonic's Hygiene Active system is a combination of technologies with protect your food from harmful bacteria. The component of this is by using silver, given that it is traditionally known to have antibacterial properties. With a combination of a silver filter, which produces silver ions, a swell as water mist and blue LED light - the Hygiene Active System produces an Anti-Bacterial cleanser called 'Hydroxy Radical' which is naturally occurs in the troposphere. This allows the Hygiene Active System in the Panasonic NR-B53V1 to remove 99.9999% of harmful bateria.The Panasonic NR-B53V1 provides a means of keeping food fresh suing Vitamin-Safe and 5Degree Fresh Zone technologies. The Vitamin Safe technology is a high humidity, adjustable temperature, compartment to create a comfortable place for temperature sensitive fruit and vegetables to be stored in the refrigerator. This is created by a combination of using a controllable temperature zone as well as two flashing LEDs to simulate the blue and green hues of sunlight. The LED's found in the Panasonic NR-B53V1 activate the fruit and vegetables natural defences.
