Guests may also relax and renew their energies in the splendid pool area with a beautiful and large heated swimming pool. The lobby is medium in size, surprisingly traditional and very elegant with expensive furnishings and antiques. A large staircase with leads down into the lobby gives the hotel a classic design. From the lobby there is also access to the Piano bar. The gourmets will appreciate the delights of hotel’s multiple award-winning restaurant, Zirbelholz; here guests can taste an endless array of wonderful creations, served at beautiful arranged tables. The restaurants are located on the ground floor and is a tasteful mixture of traditional and modern. There is a traditional "Stubl" seating area as well as the main restaurant with which has one Michelin Star and is more conservative and modern in decor. The hotel also has a small cafe that sells its own homemade cakes and chocolates. The Piano bar is located off the lobby and is still a smoking area of the hotel. Here you are also entertained nightly, except Sundays, by a classical pianist. Soft, tastefully matched colours and elegant woods are used to create an individual atmosphere in every room. This is a traditional Venetian building in keeping with the surroundings. On the top floor there is a panoramic terrace overlooking the San Marco basin. The small but very well presented lobby is furnished in traditional Venetian style. Reception desk is made of an antique table and a chair is welcomingly placed in front of it, to allow guests to sit while talking to the professional hotel staff. There are green sofas and armchairs while the predominant colour of the table fabrics is golden. The area is adorned with flowers and plants, scented candles, and Murano glass. This is an excellent property, small and cosy, in a very central and prestigious location. The quality of the service and of the facilities offered is of a superior standard. Strongly recommended. Recently the management added an annex, in the same style and with the same characteristics of the rest of the hotel, with a bar and a meeting room, just on the other side of the hotel courtyard. Rooms are quite large in size and furnished in rich Venetian style with moquette and fabrics of warm colours and precious texture. Rooms are equipped with all the modern comforts and advanced technology. Some of the marbled bathrooms feature Jacuzzi or hydro-massage shower. A few rooms benefit also from an unforgettable view of the San Marco basin with its islands and monuments in the background. Charming junior suites are also available at this hotel. There is a small but well-arranged breakfast room with marbled floors and walls painted in pastel colours. Much attention to detail is paid in the way the breakfast tables and the buffet is presented. There is also a bar with a few tables located in the hotel annex located just on the other side of the inner courtyard, and a roof terrace that offers breathtaking views of the San Marco Basin.

This hotel is ideal for both groups and individuals wishing to experience the true character of old Amsterdam. However, please note that it is not possible for coaches to reach the entrance of the hotel so drop off will have to be in a nearby street. The rooms vary in size from small to large due to the age of the building. They are modern but simple in style, although some still retain their original wooden beams which are typical of the buildings from this century. Along with the bathrooms, their condition is fair to good. A very small percentage have, however, been totally renovated in modern style, and are in very good condition. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there is a breakfast room situated on the lower ground floor, with natural daylight, which can be used for groups.

The en-suite bathrooms are simple and white in design and are in average condition. As in many Scandinavian hotels, the bedding is two twin mattresses in a single frame. On the first floor overlooking the street is a huge palatial room with a bar to one end and cosy circular tables filling the remaining space. Breakfast is served in this room while during the rest of the day a relaxing drink can be taken, soaking in the atmosphere, or looking out of the tall elegant windows. A full-service a la carte restaurant has recently been added adjacent to the reception area and serves a mix of both Swedish and international cuisine. The Hotel Hansson is a refurbished town house from the mid 19th Century and most features classic of the period still remain, with tall windows and original ornate stonework. The lobby has recently been renovated and is now decorated in a stylish mix of both traditional and contemporary pieces. Large leather sofas are situated in the sitting area of the reception and the restaurant is located adjacent. The personal touches and influence the owner has put in is evident in the attention to detail to the decor.

The hotel's Bransford Golf Club is 'the closest thing to Sawgrass in the UK'; all lakes, small greens and narrow fairways and allied to the wonderful leisure club and Sauna means that there is something for everyone. Parking is available at the front of the building. Each of the en-suite bedrooms and suites are individually furnished and have tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone, colour TV and hairdryer. Rooms are traditional in style but are generally of a medium size. Dining is available in the hotel's Farthings Restaurant which serves a selection of freshly prepared food and offers panoramic views over the grounds and Malvern Hills. There is a traditional bar area that provides a comfortable area for relaxing in the evening.
